Denver area convention StarFest Denver is getting ready to celebrate its 40th Anniversary. Year after year fans come from all around the Rocky Mountain region to get up close and personal with celebrities, hang out with friends, show off stunning cosplay, and of course, hit the dealer’s room. This year the organizers have wasted no time in getting out the great news that none other than “Star Trek’s Chekov himself, Walter Koenig is headed to Denver to be a part of StarFest’s big celebration. More good news is that Odo is coming. “Star Trek: Deep Space Nine” favorite Rene Auberjonois is also hot on the guest list. “Star Trek” has always been an important theme in this convention’s success, and so far the guest list is shaping up nicely with a two of its alumni.
Well-known Puppeteer, Animator, Actor, Producer and Director Mike Quinn has also joined the guest list, Filmmaker Russell Emanuel, along with Illustrators, writers, and entertainers already announced are Steven E. Gordon, Larry Hama, Kevin Dilmore, Dayton Ward, Colorado’s own Mythica von Griffyn, Carolyn Petersen, Dr. Alex Parker, David Boop, Mark Steven Grove, Bryan and Baxter, Cosplay experts Ginny DiGuiseppi and KAAI, and of course, our favorite Master of Ceremonies, Kevin Atkins.
This annual celebration is actually made up of so many “fests” that offer up plenty of geeky goodness to enjoy.
